Kimberlie’s passion for senior care began at just 15 years old while working in a nursing home in her hometown. Even then, it was clear her heart belonged to serving the elderly. Over the years, she gained valuable experience in large-scale care facilities but always felt something was missing—the warmth, laughter, and personalized touch that make a place feel like home. In January 2020, that vision came to life with the purchase of the first assisted living home in Ganado, Texas. Just months later, a second location opened: the historic Dugger House in Edna, originally built in the 1800s. From the beginning, the mission has been unwavering—to provide a nurturing, dignified space where every resident feels valued and at peace. After a successful corporate career, BJ joined Kimberlie full-time to bring this shared vision to life. Together, they dedicate each day to enriching the lives of residents through meaningful activities, home-cooked meals, and genuine connection. Their work is guided by a commitment to serve on the residents’ time—respecting their pace, their preferences, and their stories. Kimberlie also leads monthly Alzheimer’s and Dementia community meetings, offering education and guidance to families both within and beyond the walls of their residences.
